I stopped by Haruki one evening for a solo dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The noise level was decent and they were showing a football game.

I sat at the sushi bar for my meal. I ordered a roll of sushi (it was something similar to a shrimp tempura roll) and an order of shrimp fried rice. The sushi and the rice were delicious. I had enough rice to take home for another meal. Their portion sizes are plenty.

Heads up: they do not detail the shrimp. I'm sure they would if you ask. For both the sushi roll and shrimp fried rice, I paid about $23.

I would definitely go back and visit again soon. It's not the fanciest Japanese restaurant, but it'll certainly meet your Japanese cravings.

Consistently delicious - we love living nearby Wayland. Spoiled by great spots like Haruki who help save the neighborhood from ripoff spots like Assaulted Slate.

Shout out the humble kitchens, keeping us fed and happy!

The food is delicious at Haruki East, but I find I always spend a boatload of money and I'm still not full at the end of the meal. This is a restaurant I would give a five star rating For the quality of food. I would give it a two star rating for the quantity of food. That is how I arrived at four stars.

    The sashimi is excellent

I came the other day for sushi with my mom. I got several rolls and a sunomono salad. I liked all the rolls I got. My mom got some kind of noodle bowl and really liked hers. I had a bite of it and it was flavored really well. The service was really slow which is why they're not 5 stars. The sushi was really tasty, the place was clean, and parking was convenient.

I'm a huge fan of The original Haruki's location in Cranston and I just so happened to be in the area and was craving sushi! Because it's in Wayland square, parking is pretty much the pay meters so I did find a spot right in front of the restaurant and since I was ordering take out I decided I would just use the passport app to pay for the parking when I ordered my food. Unfortunately AT&T service is pretty bad in that area and I tried to connect to the guest WiFi but the server didn't recall the password and had to go and check. Paranoid that a meter maid would get to my car in all this I was able to find a couple of quarters in my car and take care of business the old school way. Harukis should just make that WiFi for guests open to the public as I imagine I'll likely go through the same experience.

As for the food, it was good! I did find it to be a bit pricier than the other location for the same stuff I get. I do still prefer the spicy scallop from the Cranston location - it's the original and better for some reason!
